In Cycle 1, Empoderando pelo Clima by EmpoderaClima trained young women across Brazil in climate justice and gender equality, empowering them to design local projects and advocate for inclusive climate policies. The program built leadership and advocacy skills for women from marginalized communities, fostering a network of climate champions.For Cycle 2, the project aims to expand its reach through the “COP30 Edition,” supporting three participants to attend COP30, strengthening mentorship and accessibility, and integrating multilingual, inclusive learning materials. This next phase will ensure sustained engagement, greater representation of Global South women, and stronger pathways to global climate governance.
EmpoderaClima is a Brazil-based, youth-led initiative created to raise awareness on the disproportionate impacts of climate change that girls and women face in the Global South. The initiative also emphasizes on the need for women's leadership in climate action.
