The Jardins Botaniques Communautaires pour la Conservation des Plantes Médicinales (JARCOMED) Project aims to create community botanical gardens to preserve medicinal plants threatened by deforestation and climate change in Benin.Working with traditional healers, farmers, and youth, the project promotes sustainable cultivation, the transmission of ancestral knowledge, and biodiversity awareness.These gardens will serve both as educational spaces and sources of sustainable income for local communities. JARCOMED combines conservation, education, and economic development to safeguard essential natural and cultural heritage.
