Señas Verdes: Agricultura e Inclusión is a pioneering project in Bogotá that integrates the deaf community into urban agriculture through the Colombian Sign Language (LSC). By researching, documenting, and creating an accessible agricultural vocabulary in LSC, the project breaks communication barriers and promotes environmental participation.It includes the production of educational videos in LSC on sustainable farming practices, empowering deaf individuals to engage in urban gardens, climate mitigation, and waste reduction. Through inclusion, accessibility, and collaboration, Señas Verdes strengthens social cohesion, promotes environmental justice, and builds an inclusive model for sustainable urban communities.
