In Cycle 1, Climate Words advanced climate literacy by creating an accessible digital lexicon that translated complex climate terms into inclusive, youth-friendly language, amplifying voices from the Global South and frontline communities.Building on this success, Cycle 2 introduces Empowering Action Through Climate Literacy: 10 Terms to Navigate Our Environmental Future through Forest Fires, focusing on forest fire resilience in California.The project will engage 10 young frontline voices to define key terms, paired with expert-reviewed facts, visuals, and stories. This new edition aims to deepen public understanding, strengthen climate communication, and empower communities through language, storytelling, and education.
