The Green Action Project 2024, led by Be The You Foundation with support from the Cycle 1 RE!Granting program, engaged youth and women across Nairobi, Mombasa, and Kisumu in large-scale conservation.Over 20,000 trees—including 7,500 fruit trees—were planted by 6,000 students from 30 schools. The project also organized 20 cleanups, collecting 2,000 tons of waste and installing 50 bins along Kenya’s coast.More than 5,000 people attended environmental trainings, reaching 600,000 indirectly. It created 200 youth jobs at the Dandora dumpsite and promoted women’s inclusion. Now, in Cycle 2, the organization aims to expand partnerships and build a more sustainable framework for long-term community impact.
