The project raises community awareness to stop hunting driven by mistaken identity and provides sustainable livelihood alternatives like eco-tourism and fishing.Through workshops, education campaigns, and training local wildlife guardians, it empowers communities to safeguard the Sitatunga and its wetland habitat. This initiative promotes biodiversity conservation, climate resilience, and coexistence between people and wildlife while preserving vital ecosystems for future generations.
