Save Vietnam’s Wildlife's current project focuses on the holistic expansion and restoration of the Cat Tien Forest Complex in Dong Nai, Vietnam, and has has two critical goals.First, to ensure the long-term survival of a stronghold population of Asian elephants in Vietnam, by expanding, monitoring, and protecting their core-use zones; and two, to reimburse crop and property damages through sustainable and ethical elephant ecotourism by empowering local communities affected by human-elephant conflict.The project is a comprehensive approach to conservation that not only protects wildlife but also empowers local communities. By fostering economic stability and raising awareness, they aim to create a sustainable future where humans and wildlife coexist harmoniously.
