The campaign, in collaboration with the social movement of "excluded workers" (MTE), aims to address waste management by implementing Extended Producer Responsibility, making companies accountable for managing materials in the post-consumer phase. At the same time, the campaign has a special focus on the social movement of waste pickers who do an incredible job recycling waste but often do not have the necessary resources or recognition from the state and the population. The campaign aims to increase public awareness, generate support, and ultimately contribute to the successful approval and implementation of the packaging law. The passage of the law would also help close open dumps that are dangerous for nearby communities who often live in slums.
