The Project

The GreenCheck Solidarity Academy is a paid training and internship pilot programme for youth aged 18-24 years old from Most Affected Peoples and Areas (MAPA). The Academy comprises a 1-month training and upskilling component, followed by a 3-month internship with one of 6 GreenCheck Partners. The program will help train the next generation of climate leaders from the Most Affected People and Areas (MAPA), scale existing high-impact and MAPA-led frontline climate justice actions, and increase transnational, inter-MAPA solidarity. The GreenCheck Solidarity Academy will increase GreenCheck’s ability to reach climate-interested youth from diverse and underserved backgrounds, and empower them with resources and upskilling in high-demand skills that they might not otherwise have been able to access, ultimately empowering them to enter careers in climate justice in the future.
