As sea ice disappears it alters Earth systems, leading to interconnected climate breakdowns across the world. Through the Arctic Ice Force, an intergenerational network of climate activists from around the world, Global Choices is pursuing decisive action.Led by advocates from diverse communities in 9 global "hubs", this campaign teaches people about the importance of sea ice to climate stability in their neighborhood. It also mobilizes the public to demand action from their leaders, bringing the Ice Crisis from the streets to the halls of power.The goal of the project is to mobilize substantial public support for their proposed 10-year Moratorium on all activities harmful to sea ice. This Moratorium is meant as a precautionary pause, giving the Central Arctic Ocean an opportunity to recover while allowing our understanding of this unique region to catch up.
